How family in Kenya can request a call (no smartphone needed)
Here is the exact path families use with FamilyCall — the Nana and Elisa story.
1. Nana creates an account
Nana lives in the US, UK, or Canada. She signs up for FamilyCall in minutes and adds her local phone number so she can receive alerts.
2. Nana adds Elisa
She saves Elisa’s Kenya phone number and name. FamilyCall prepares simple phone instructions so Elisa will hear something like “Press 1 for Nana.”
3. Nana receives the Kenya number and instructions
FamilyCall shows the Kenya access number and a short message Nana can text or tell Elisa: when you need me, call this number and press 1.
4. Elisa requests a call
Elisa dials from any phone — no app, no internet. She hears the menu and presses Nana’s digit.
5. Nana gets notified
Nana receives a brief ring and SMS from FamilyCall’s local number for her country, plus the request in her account. She reaches Elisa when ready — by WhatsApp, a regular call, or another method.
